Enjoy the Adventure
Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak at 4,566 meters, stands majestically within Arusha National Park. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and rich wildlife diversity, Meru presents a challenging yet rewarding trek. Its steep slopes make it a formidable climb, but it’s an excellent choice for acclimatization before tackling Mount Kilimanjaro. Due to the abundant wildlife on its lower slopes, climbers are accompanied by an armed ranger for safety. Additionally, Mount Meru holds historical significance, with some suggesting it might have been the resting place of Noah’s Ark after the biblical flood. For those seeking a climbing adventure and a taste of wilderness before facing Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru is an ideal option.
