Moshi Treks operates as a tour agent and distributor for travel and tourism in Tanzania. To ensure a fulfilling active tourism experience, our services are governed by specific terms and conditions. All contracts are subject to the regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Booking Terms and Conditions
Booking is confirmed once Moshi Treks has sent written confirmation to the email address provided by the client. We recognize that opportunities for such trips are rare, which is why we invest in making your experience memorable and unique. While we are not the lowest-priced operator, we focus on delivering high-quality safari packages tailored to your needs. Be aware that some operators may offer lower prices by cutting certain corners.
General Booking Terms and Conditions
To book a journey, contact us with your preferred activities and destinations. We will work with you to create a customized safari itinerary and accommodations within your budget. Bookings should be confirmed in writing via email, our booking forms, telephone, or our website. Your booking is fully confirmed when we receive a 25% non-refundable deposit. All deposits must be paid within 2 weeks of receiving the invoice. A binding contract between you and Moshi Treks is established once we confirm your booking.
If booking for a group, the client must have the authority to sign the contract on behalf of all listed passengers and ensure they are informed about our booking terms and conditions. By signing the contract, the client confirms that they and all listed passengers have read, understood, and agreed to our terms.
Payment and Currency
The final balance is to be paid in USD currency only. Note that USD notes below 2006 are not accepted in Tanzania.

Deposit and Payment
A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking, which contributes to the cost of wildlife safaris, climbing, trekking, Zanzibar holidays, and other services. The final balance must be paid within 4 weeks before the tour starts. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the booking being treated as cancelled, with the deposit forfeited. Only actual amounts transferred to our bank account will be considered as payment, with additional transfer costs borne by the client.
Non-residents must pay in foreign convertible currencies as per Tanzanian law. Payments in cash are acceptable for any discrepancies. We do not accept credit card payments upon arrival due to past issues with fraud. If you prefer to pay by credit card, a 10% surcharge applies. Please inform us if you wish to use this option.

Those with chronic illnesses or physical conditions should refrain from participating.

After booking confirmation, we will try to accommodate any changes to your itinerary based on availability. Additional costs may apply for changes, and normal cancellation fees will apply for postponements.
Travel Insurance
Clients are advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation, personal accidents, tour cancellation, and loss. Inform us of any physical disabilities requiring special attention at the time of booking.

During safaris, the guide/driver’s decisions are final. Clients must comply with local laws and regulations.
