From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Today’s ride will take you from the lush, green southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the more arid western side of the mountain. You’ll start your journey cycling through fertile coffee and banana plantations in the southern region. As you head west, the terrain will transition to open plains and acacia woodlands, which are drier and offer striking views of Kilimanjaro.
In this region, known as Maasai Lands, you’ll experience the unique coexistence of the nomadic Maasai people and the surrounding wildlife. The ride will cover a mix of dirt and tarmac roads, leading you to the Olpopongi Maasai Village, where you’ll spend the night.
- Meals: Lunch and Dinner included
- Accommodation: Olpopongi Maasai Village
Today’s ride is a long but rewarding adventure as we cycle from the scenic west Kilimanjaro plains towards the bustling city of Arusha. Our route begins through the expansive Ngasurai open plains, a key migratory corridor for elephants traveling between Amboseli National Park in Kenya and their seasonal grazing grounds. Expect a hot and dusty day as we navigate these rugged terrains.
As we transition from the dirt roads, we’ll join the tarmac road leading towards Arusha. Along the way, we’ll pass through charming small villages and settlements with Mt. Meru standing majestically in the distance. Just before we reach the lively city of Arusha, we’ll make a delightful detour through a coffee estate, adding a touch of local flavor to our journey.
Our day will conclude at the Tembo Club / Carnivore hotel, a boutique lodge situated just outside the city, where you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Today’s ride is an exhilarating journey through the migratory wildlife corridors connecting Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks. We’ll start by cycling back to the main road for a few kilometers before turning onto a dirt road leading towards Lake Manyara. This region is teeming with wildlife, and you’ll encounter several Maasai settlements along the way.
One of the highlights will be the stunning views of the Great Rift Valley as we head towards Lake Manyara. After navigating the dirt roads, we’ll rejoin the main tarmac road and head towards Mto wa Mbu town. From there, we’ll take a final dirt road stretch to Migombani Tented Camp, where we’ll spend the night. Today marks the end of our biking adventure.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
In the early morning, your safari guide will collect you from Migombani Camp and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park. The park encompasses the northwest bank and part of the alkaline Lake Manyara which itself rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans and cormorants but it is also the home for a few hundred other species of birds, it is therefore a paradise for ornithologists.
Next to a great variety of birds, the “Big Game” can also be seen. With a bit of luck you might see elephants in the wooded regions and with even more fortune the tree-climbing lions. Indeed, it was thought for a long time that the Lake Manyara National Park is the only place where lions can be found with this atypical behavior of climbing trees.
Baboons and vervet monkeys are also found amongst the forested areas and in the more open spaces, giraffes nibble at the fresh leaves while the various types of antelopes common to the region browse for tasty shoots. After a picnic lunch, there will be more time for further game and wildlife watching before it is time to return to the airport or Moshi town.
