Food & Drinks On The Mountain
What is the Food Like on Mt. Kilimanjaro?
Our menus are constantly evolving to include new and exciting dishes, and we accommodate any special requirements you might have before your climb, whether or not you’re vegetarian. Imagine celebrating with birthday cakes during the climb or enjoying Christmas and New Year’s cards and cakes at the top of Kilimanjaro! Experience the authentic adventure with us.
Moshi Treks has an experienced mountain chef dedicated to preparing delicious and nutritious meals that will support you on your journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Since your appetite may decrease at high altitudes, it’s important to eat and drink as much as you can to keep your body in peak condition. Good food and ample hydration are crucial for both your physical and psychological well-being, making your climb more rewarding. At high altitudes, staying hydrated is vital for your health and can help prevent altitude sickness. We provide plenty of water and nourishing food throughout your trek.
If you have any special dietary requests, such as vegetarian options, please let us know in advance. We are more than happy to accommodate these needs. Our meals always feature high-quality ingredients and fresh, seasonal fruits to enhance your climbing experience.
At Moshi Treks, we believe that great food is essential for a successful climb. Our mountain cuisine is designed to keep you nourished and energized throughout your trek. Here’s what you can expect:
